What is Sencha tea?
Sencha tea is a variety of tea originating in Japan.
It means “cooked tea” since the leaves of the plant are cooked, this being what characterizes and produces its differences with the other green teas.
Sencha tea is roasted in a frying pan before preparing the cylinders for consumption as in the case of the Chinese.
This process in the production confers the characteristic more vegetal flavor almost herbaceous and slightly more bitter and the infusions have a greener color than the Chinese green teas.
