5 Detox Cleansing Tea You Should Try.

In recent times, we see that there is a growing shift toward organic and natural life options, gaining popularity among systems for detox cleansing tea, juices, and detox drink programs based on those drinks.

We also try to be more aware of personal health and promote the desertion of sweetened soft drinks.

The two ideas form a powerful detoxification tool, and the products called “Detox tea” have emerged on the market, making a very popular pun in the United States, the ” TEA TOX.”

What is a detox for?

Some people consider that they should detoxify their bodies from time to time for good health.

They usually do it after they have committed some kind of excess during the holidays: from treats, soft drinks, alcohol, or just food.

They also decide to detox to improve organ functions and thus prevent disease.

By simplifying the matter, you could say that the end of detoxification plans (improving health and gaining well-being) is not bad.

However, it is clear that the methods proposed to achieve this are not the most rigorous and, according to health and nutrition experts, pose multiple health risks.

The detoxification methods revolve around the diet and in particular, the preparation of drinks (liquefied, teas, among others) to replace main meals for a short period, which can vary from person to person.

Some plans are one week and some are fifteen days

What should you avoid?

People with liver problems or those who want to avoid them should be aware that alcoholic beverages are toxic, and when metabolized, directly affect the liver.

Refined sugars, foods with many preservatives, and saturated and trans fats also hurt you, as well as animal-origin foods with high levels of amino acids, as they can be challenging to digest.

Also, a high concentration of caffeine makes it an excellent stimulant.

Besides, antioxidants neutralize free radicals that damage liver cells.

Hibiscus Tea.

This plant has the property to be a diuretic.

Some people lose weight because of the effect of going very often to the bathroom, but that is not their benefit, exclusively used to clean the kidneys and, when ingested, will generate more urine.

It is recommended for those who suffer from kidney problems, but especially for people who retain lots of fluid.

This medicinal plant is also on the list of moisturizing plants, making it ideal for those with dry skin.

Thyme Tea.

Thyme tea is for people with poor digestion and nervousness.

Besides, it is perfect for improving liver and gallbladder function.

It helps us remove impurities from the body through urine.

White Tea.

A recent investigation into the benefits of white tea for health shows that white tea cells seem to dispose of more toxic substances than other varieties of tea.

It is the result of a combined effort between caffeine and the abundant antioxidants present in this tea.

Detoxifies the organism, improving the function of the liver to contain numerous antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins.

Lemon Balm Tea.

The lemon balm is a herb known for its soothing and relaxing effects and is one of the most recommended beverages for general health.

Lemon balm belongs to the same family as mint.

  2. Very interesting article. There are so many different health benefits of drinking tea! I knew it was good for you but I’m surprised to learn all the other many benefits. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Hi

Good choices of tea I like all of them but I must say Green tea and Hibiscus tea are my staples.

But i think that the best detox tea by far is the dandelion tea, this tea will really get rid of any unwanted toxins in the body and many people in the natural health and alternative health sector will go to this tea for really cleansing the body.

Dandelion tea will not only stimulate the bowel and cleanse the colon it will also remove toxins from fat cells within the body.   it will also cleanse the kidneys and liver, making it an all over cleansing tea.

Thank you for sharing this post much appreciated.

    Jennifer

    • Hi Jennifer.

Thanks for your comments. I am really  glad you did like the post, regarding Dandelion Root tea i agree with you 100%, it is a great detoxifier and  removes any unwanted chemicals, so that you can be sure all unhealthy toxins are removed from your body without more coming in.

      Regards.

      Javier.

  4. First of all, I can’t stop admiring the funny tagline on your website, ” positivitea”, very creative!

Now that we got that out of the way, let’s talk about the content on this website. I have been drinking green tea for almost 10 years now, and I am definitely in love with it, but I have been looking for different taste and tea for the past few months.

So which one would you recommend me to try, something similar to the green tea would be preferable, how’s the white tea?

    • Hi Isaac,

I am glad you like the tagline, I think is really catchy. Thanks.

Isaac if you enjoy drinking Green tea but getting tired of the same flavor and taste maybe you can stick to Green tea but with different flavors. White tea is a great choice if you ask me, but to be honest with you there are some many good choices that I don’t know where to start. it all depends what are looking for.

That is a good reason to check my page again and read this article” 15 benefits of drinking tea every day” and you have a better idea of what is best for you.

      Regards.

      Javier.

  5. So glad I found this article. I am interested in different teas and what they can bring health-wise.

From experience I don’t like green tea, in fact, it has made me feel quite nauseous. Have you ever heard of this happening before? its a shame because as you say its a good detox for the liver.

I think I will try the white tea instead.

    • Hi Diane

I am glad you found this post interesting. Regarding feeling nauseous after drinking green tea that’s something a have not heard before but can cause you to feel dizzy or lightheaded when consumed in large amounts due to its caffeine content but if you want a tea that can detox you liver Dandelion is a great choice maybe you can give it a shot but white tea is always a good choice as well.

  6. I did a full 14 day cleanse with just water, cayenne pepper and honey. It worked really well but I don’t ever want to do it again as it was mindbogglingly boring.

I have been thinking about a cleanse again and looking for ideas so your post attracted me.

Is it a good idea to combine teas into one diet?

Or is it best to focus on one tea at a time?

How long is a ‘program’ with the teas?

I look forward to hearing back from you!

    Tim

    • Hi Jim.

Combining teas during a program is something that i don’t recommend, you should stick to the same type of tea for 15 days, one thing that you can do is drink fresh fruit and vegetable juices, smoothies and  water during those 2 weeks in fact that’s what the experts recommend.

      Javier.

  7. Great ideas on detox cleansing teas. I have been looking for post like this, thank you so much for a well detailed review. I am having problem with abnormal hungry, and I am struggling to find sleep. I really don’t know why. I have found Lemon Balm Tea to be the perfect fit for my problems. I will have to buy it in the coming weeks, thank you so much

    • Thank you Ngonidzashe.

I am glad you found this post useful but if you think that you are having problems falling asleep at night and abnormal hunger I recommend you should check a couple of posts in my site that address those problems with some recommendations and tea choices to solve them.
